Frankfurt am Main, September 13 2022 - Bethmann Bank is getting new management in Hamburg. Axel Rogge (55), Head of Growth, and Patric Wilhelm (39), regional manager for the North, will take charge of the long-established branch in Hamburg with immediate effect. Rogge has been leading a growth team from Hamburg since 2021 with a focus on new client acquisition, having previously been responsible for institutional clients and foundations across the Bank for seven years. From 2006 to 2014, he was branch manager of Credit Suisse in Hamburg. Patric Wilhelm, who, like Rogge, has been with Bethmann Bank since 2014, has been regional manager for the North since the beginning of this year. Prior to that, he was branch manager in Berlin and Hanover. Axel Rogge is joining the expanded regional management for the North. Marc Kurtenbach (55) will assume responsibility for the growth team.*

The Hamburg branch is to become part of the expanded Northern region with this new appointment.* Bethmann Bank experts serve their clients at 14 locations in Germany, which are grouped into four regions. The creation of regional teams is aimed at providing more personal, teamoriented and efficient advice to our clients in each region. The Northern region comprises the Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg and Hanover branches, now under the management of Axel Rogge and Patric Wilhelm.

The long-standing Hamburg branch managers Torsten Hein (59) and Jörg Finck (60) have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect. Torsten Hein has been heavily involved with and responsible for the establishment and positive development of the Hamburg branch. Bethmann Bank is a personal bank that consistently follows a digital path of growth and service. In advising our clients, we draw on a very broad product and service offering that is unparalleled in the private banking market. With the help of our two new regional managers – Axel Rogge and Patric Wilhelm – we will build on this high standard of support to our clients and maintain our very individual client focus.

Hans Hanegraaf, CEO of Bethmann Bank said, “Bethmann has ambitious growth plans. In the highly competitive environment we operate in, we need leaders and employees who work well to-gether as a team, are a match for our brand and are passionate about our goals. The important Hamburg branch is being endowed with experienced and highly competent new leadership in Axel Rogge and Patric Wilhelm.”

Stefan Meine, Head of Product & Solutions and, as of October, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) said, “We have gained two very experienced private bankers in Axel Rogge and Patric Wilhelm to manage our newly established region; they will support continued development of our Bank with conviction and always have our clients’ interests in mind. We are also confident that our growth team is in good hands with Marc Kurtenbach (55). He has been part of this team since spring 2020 and has made a major contribution to our successful development in recent months.”
