
Bethmann Bank to expand Management Board and reallocate roles
- Current Chief Financial Officer Agnes Brelik to take over Products & Solutions
- Stefan Meine, currently in charge of Products & Solutions, to be responsible for Clients division

Frankfurt am Main, July 22 2022 - Bethmann Bank is expanding its Management Board and reallocating top level responsibilities. Agnes Brelik (45) will be a new member, responsible for Products & Solutions as Head Wealth Products Germany from October 2022. She has been Chief Financial Officer of ABN AMRO Germany since 2016 and member of Bethmann Bank's extended management team since 2020.
Stefan Meine (50), who currently heads the department Products & Solutions, as part of the Management Board will take over responsibility for the client business as as Chief Commercial Officer from October. He will succeed Nicolas von Loeper, who left the Bank at the end of March this year. As Vice Chairman Corporate Banking Stefan Meine will continue to cover major corporate clients of ABN AMRO.
Hans Hanegraaf, Chairman, and Michael Pleske, responsible for Risk Management, will continue as members of the Bethmann Management Board. Following the merger of the current Bethmann Bank AG into its sole shareholder ABN AMRO Bank N.V., scheduled for early October 2022, the Bank will have a Management Board instead of an Executive Board.
Agnes Brelik has more than 20 years' experience in finance, 16 of them at ABN AMRO. After more than three years at payment services provider DVB Processing, she started in the Controlling department at ABN AMRO in 2006 and held various management positions in the years that followed. During this time, Agnes Brelik was involved in key strategic projects at Bethmann Bank, such as acquisition and change processes, and most recently also played a key role in planning and execut-ing the simplification of Bethmann Bank's legal structure.
Stefan Meine has been a member of the management team at Bethmann Bank since 2021, after having successfully built up both Corporate & Institutional Banking and Commercial Banking in Germany as Head of Corporate Banking Germany, a role he assumed at the beginning of 2017. As Head of Products & Solutions, a focus of his work has been to build up the new Entrepreneur & Enterprise unit, which provides holistic support for family owned SME clients. Stefan Meine has successfully established and grown client business at various major European banks over the past 20 years.
