In most cases, concluding contracts with a bank involves being handed mountains of paper. It is not uncommon for this to require a dozen or more signatures. At Bethmann Bank, this is something that can bother not only you as a client, but our bank as well. For this reason, we thought early on about how we could utilise digital channels to make our service faster and more convenient for you. Digital channels enable us to support and complement our face-to-face interaction with you, rather than replace it.
Two examples demonstrate what we have developed: For some time now, we have been thinking about how to arrange for the consultant to be with the client, despite not physically being in the same place. It had to be possible to bring a personal conversation to a digital level in the age of WhatsApp and Facetime. In addition to contact via telephone, it would also be face-to-face, of course, with all the security standards of a private bank. This is how our video banking came about. For instance, clients and consultants both appreciate being able to have a one-on-one conversation remotely and go through documents together. This service is something that only very few private banks can offer to date, and we have even received an award for it.
The second example deals with piles of paperwork. Our e-signature eliminates them in many areas. A secure and uncomplicated procedure enables you to sign documents digitally from home or on the move - even on your smartphone or tablet. Not only is this extremely convenient, it is also much quicker than signing by hand, because we are not dependant on the postal service. Lastly, if we all print out and send less paper, it will be beneficial for the environment as well. All that is required, in addition to your smartphone or tablet, is an email address and a mobile number. After that you can simply conclude the "Agreement on the use of the e-signature service" with us and get started: You can sign numerous documents digitally, from changing your address to exempt an order. Alongside electronic signature and video banking, the entire range of Bethmann Bank's online banking services is at your disposal under "My Portal". You will be able to access many practical services from your personalised homepage. This enables you to conveniently make transfers or check your account balance on the go with your smartphone or tablet. Alternatively, you can check to see how your portfolio is developing. You will receive a notification if, for example, we have to perform a regrouping. You can even call up your life insurance policy and change it if necessary. You can also archive documents such as account statements or securities statements in your mailbox - which is paperless, space-saving and environmentally friendly.
