CIO Reinhard Pfingsten leaves Bethmann Bank
- After a good five years, Reinhard Pfingsten leaves Bethmann Bank for personal reasons – search for successor underway
Frankfurt Main, 21 April 2023 - Reinhard Pfingsten (55), Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Bethmann Bank, has decided to leave the ABN AMRO Group to pursue a new professional challenge. He is expected to leave the Bank later this summer.
Pfingsten has been responsible for all central asset management activities at Bethmann Bank since the beginning of 2018 and is also ABN AMRO's Global Head of Asset Allocation on a global level.
Agnes Brelik, Head of Wealth Products Germany on the Bethmann Executive Board, regrets the decision: “Reinhard Pfingsten has used his market expertise to set many important trends in recent years, not least in sustainable asset management. After more than five years as a proven investment specialist, his decision to take a new direction is something we have to respect, even though we very much regret this move. We thank Reinhard Pfingsten for his most excellent and valuable cooperation and wish him all the very best and every success in his future endeavours.”
Reinhard Pfingsten: “I can look back on more than five exciting and successful years working with great and competent employees at Bethmann/ABN AMRO, and I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of them. Nonetheless, I would like to pursue a new professional challenge that takes a different spin on the CIO role, with design opportunities from and between wealth management and asset management.”
Bethmann Bank Executive Board has already initiated the search for a successor to fill this important management position in a timely manner.
